What is the Poderm Method?
Developed by Swiss podiatrist Maud Falconnet, the Poderm Method is a structured professional protocol for treating fungal nails. Read more about the story behind Poderm here.
It combines clinical treatment with specialist products for ongoing home care, with follow-up appointments every 6 weeks. This creates opportunities to generate revenue from both homecare products and ongoing treatments, alongside improving patient outcomes.

What Will You Learn at The Poderm Training Session
This practical training session will cover the following areas:
Practical Nail Reduction
Practise using a high-speed drill to reduce an affected nail using a training model.
Nail Reconstruction
Learn practical techniques for reconstructing damaged nails.
Nail Bracing
Learn about bracing techniques for involuted nails.
Setting Up Poderm in Your Clinic
Get practical advice about equipment, products, suppliers, and costs.
Practical Small-Group Training
With a maximum of just six people per session, you’ll have time to practise techniques, ask questions, and discuss how you could use the Poderm Method within your own clinic.

Frequently Asked Questions About Poderm Training
Do I need previous experience?
This course is suitable for qualified Podiatrists and Foot Health Practitioners. Prior experience with fungal nails is advantageous.
How much can I charge for the Poderm Method
You can choose your own pricing. We can give guidance in this area. Currently our own clinic charges
£245 – Initial 1 hour appointment (includes treatment and products).
£73 – Follow up appointments are necessary every 6 weeks (30 minute appointments).

Which clients will benefit most from Poderm?
The Poderm Method is a professional, ongoing treatment plan for fungal toenails. It works best when treating 1-3 affected nails where the nail base itself is not compromised. It is not intended for infections that have spread along the entire nail.
What about ancillary sales?
Poderm have a range of products that you will be able to offer to your clients. This includes treatment products (some of which we recommend including in your treatment bundle), and colour care varnish.
